What does "Adobe cannot decrypt this document" mean?

I received a link to download a songbook as a bonus for purchasing an album -- I have Adobe Reader 7.0, and the download is an Adobe file. When I go to open it, I get that message. Mine is not the most recent version of Adobe, but it is fully updated and I download PDFs from all sorts of sources, and haven't any problem at all. I contacted the vendor, who are not only generally unhelpful and a bit nasty, but also not the sharpest knives in the drawer, told me the problem was that I wasn't opening it with Adobe (?) Here's the link to download it and the link is to Adobe X -- I know of another person who opened the file with Adobe 9, I think the file is corrupt in some way, but I don't know, could you help me? And I'm on dial up, so committing to downloading Adobe X is a big one, but I tried several times, and it doesn't work for me. Thanks for any help...

I need a list of famous Jewish people like Anne Frank?

I am studying Judaism and told my mentor I would study two famous Jewish people this month... can you name one?

How should I protect myself?

I do not like my step dad. Something about him just dosent seem right. He has done somethings to my mother that are to the extent to make me question his motives. I want to know if I should start sleeping with a knife under my bed incase something ever happens. I already lock my door at night and sleep with my cellphone next to me so if I need to call police I can. He has never put his hands on me but he still seems like he has problems. Advice? I'm 17 by the way.

Can anyone give me the guitar chords/tab for Ellie Goulding's cover of Heartbeats (originally by The Knife)?

I can't find them anywhere and I really like her version. I don't want the Jose gonzalez version. Thanks!

What colleges can I get into?

Well with a 3.3 GPA it will be tough to get into St. Louis and UCLA.. Those require typically 3.6 and higher to be competitive for regular admissions into the University. I am not quite sure about the rest... However, I would go to www.collegeboard.com and look at the Stats for each of the schools you are applying to and look at the averages that are reported from the college themselves.

Is there a Doctor out there that can help me interpret some lab results?

I live in a town where there is not a lot of doctors. I have the results but of course have no idea what they mean. I need to know if there is anything wrong. This is just basic lab work, some words I read are; Electrolytes, hemoglobin, hematology, lipids...also TSH & T4 for my thyroid.

What causes more pain? Wound from a bayonet or a knife (in the stomach) or gunshot wound (in the stomach)?

Assuming the knife is the same length as the bayonet and used with an equal amount of force, there's really not much difference in the level of pain. You don't want to experience any of those wounds.
