Can you get sued for stabbing someone who is coming at you?

I'm 16 and a girl around the same age came at me ready to fight last night like she got in my face pushing me.. I was wandering ( cuz I carry a pocket knife for safety around with me) if I stabbed her for touching me... Would I get introuble for that? Plz serious answers this girl won't leave me alone and I'm not a fighting kinda person I would rather just shoot them and get it over with ya know???
